School History
Bhai Joga Singh Ji, a Sikh youth from Peshawar, lived at Anandpur Sahib in the presence of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj (1666-1708) and served Guru ji with dedication and devotion for many years. When Bhai Joga Singh Ji first went into the service of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, Guru Ji first asked him, “Who are you?” Bhai Joga Singh Ji replied : “I am Joga”. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj said “Tu Kedhe Joga?” (Who are you worthy of ?). Bhai Joga Singh Ji replied “Mai Tere Joga” (I am worthy of you). Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj then said “Tu Mera Joga, teh Mai Tere Joga” (You are worthy of me, then I am worthy of you) and Guru Sahib asked Bhai Joga Singh Ji to stay in his service.
